Our Story
The Sleep Safe Pillow was founded by entrepreneur, Sam DiLiberto. His company, TSS Foam Industries, based out of Western, NY has worked for 40 years specializing in the fabrication of polyurethane and polyethylene. TSS Foam is Western NY's largest and most experienced fabricator.
Together, with the help of his two sons, they integrated their years of foam fabrication and manufacturing experience to create the ultimate in innovative design—thus, the Sleep Safe Pillow was born. It all began from a vision that they have had for many years, of creating a compact pillow that could be used during travel and hotel stays to minimize the transmission of germs and viruses on hotel bedding. The intent to make the pillow completely disposable was born from the notion of keeping the germs right where they belong and not bringing them home to the rest of the family. Today, The Sleep Safe Pillow is available world-wide and is granting travelers the peace of mind they deserve.
Sam’s goal is to provide you a safe place to lay your head while traveling so that you can avoid being yet another statistic on an already used pillow that thousands of others have used nights prior.
“Let’s face it—people are scared to travel right now and to be honest, I don’t blame them! According to the CDC, ‘You can become infected (with Coronavirus) from respiratory droplets when an infected person coughs, sneezes, or talks. You may also be able to get it by touching a surface or object that has the virus on it, and then by touching your mouth, nose, or eyes.’ This kind of information is not settling when having to travel and stay in hotels on the same pillows that are used by thousands of strangers nights prior. That’s why I have created a pillow that’s not only conveniently compact, but most importantly ensures a safe night’s sleep!” -Sam
This patent design is 100% American made, composed of high quality fiber fill and covered with a soft cotton material. The pillow is compressed with 25 tons of pressure to eliminate all of the air out of the pillow. The compressed bag is then sealed so that air cannot exit or enter again until opened for use. Upon opening, the pillow bounces back to its true size and shape.
